Overdraft Opt In - Important Notice
Overdraft Protection Change Effective 07/1/2010 and 08/15/2010. The federal government issued changes to Regulation E affecting overdraft protection for ATM and one-time debit card purchases. Currently - for most AGC CU members - if an account does not have sufficient funds to cover an ATM or one-time debit card transaction, the credit union covers the insufficient amount (up to $300) for a $29 fee per transaction. Beginning August 15, 2010 for accounts opened prior to July 1, 2010, we will not be able to continue this practice unless we receive your written authorization on an Opt-In Form instructing us to do so. If you choose not to Opt-In, such transactions for which sufficient funds do not exist in your account will be declined at the Point-Of-Sale. This does not affect checks drawn on your account or recurring payments using your debit card. You may use the online form or request a form at either AGC Credit Union branches.
